Hello Blog-o-sphere!

It feels strange to be back here at the keyboard after so long a hiatus. I felt it was time to get back some semblance of order to the madness that is my life lately. Maybe recording my exploits and thoughts will help me force them into place, so I can come back to them at some point in the future and remember. This is mostly for me, but also for you. I'd like a place to share my work, my ideas, and possibly just a lot of rubbish along the way! ha.

I had a wonderful photo session with my friend Heather recently. She is due in just few weeks with a baby girl, and I was so excited to do my first maternity shoot with her! We had a great time snapping pics in and outside her beautiful home. Erie is certainly a beautiful backdrop for photography, and her house was a-mazing! Here's a few of my favorites (that aren't already on FB). :)

I had so much fun taking these, but I'm definitely looking forward to more photo experimentation- indoors. :) Erie-ites, let me know if you are interested!

I've had a great week. It's been wonderful having John home, even if he has been playing Assassin's Creed Revelations for the majority of his waking hours. We got some great Black Friday deals (although I cringed to watch the masses bludgeon eachother on Thanksgiving day) and we enjoyed our T-day feast at the historic Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs, so my day was cooking/cleaning free! Bella bean is keeping me busy though. Night terrors are no fun, my friends. Or whatever it is that is waking my girl up 1-5 times a night EVERY night. Sigh. So grateful to have John's family in town. It was so wonderful sleeping in this morning while my mother-in-law took care of the squish. I am looking forward to having some more quality(school-free) family time in just a few weeks. December 16th can't come soon enough!
